Over the last few weeks, we've dedicated lots of time, effort, and love into becoming "blanketeers" and creating these lovely fleece blankets for Project Linus. We've had several teachers and parent volunteers come in to help us along the way to ensure we could deliver these blankets to children in need in time for the holidays.
After measuring, cutting, and tying each piece, we finally completed all of our blankets! Ms. Riley delivered the blankets to Cross Roads House on Thursday, just in time to keep their residents warm from the below zero wind chills that were moving into New Hampshire that evening. Because of the cold temperatures, Cross Roads House was overflowing with residents, so extra blankets could not have come at a better time. Thank you to Project Linus for also sending along extra blankets and scarves from your other blanketeers to go with our donation!
Thank you to all of the giraffes (and their wonderful families!) for bringing the giving spirit of this season to life. Through making our blankets, the donation of gifts for our SMS Holiday Mission, and the kindness you put into one another each and every day, you bring light and joy into the world. I'm so proud to be your teacher!
