We Have A Dream!

In addition to making our awesome watercolor hands for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we also made Dream Mobiles which included dreams we had for ourselves, our community, and our world!

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." -Martin Luther King Jr.
We learned that Martin Luther King Jr fought peacefully for equality along with many others, including Rosa Parks and Ruby Bridges, which brought about change in the United States and all around the world. We brainstormed a list of the dreams we had for ourselves and others with the help of Mrs. Hackett's daughter, who came in to be our special helper :)

Note: BBB stands for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disney World :)

Afterwards, we got to work writing, cutting, and assembling our mobiles, which are now hanging around our classroom.

While some of our dreams may take a lot of time and effort to achieve, we can start helping many of them come true today!
