Because it was Dr. Seuss's Birthday this past Monday, we've been reading lots of his books and learning about his life as an author, illustrator, poet, and cartoonist. One of the books that we read was Oh, The Places You'll Go! and we compiled a list of all the places we'd like to travel to in our lifetime.
Once we created our list class list, we each chose at least four places that we'd like to travel to or would like to visit again. Then, we created seuss-tastic street signs for these places and transformed ourselves into whos!
We used watercolors and crayon resist to create our backgrounds. We love seeing the crayon pop out of the paint!
In order to complete our Who transformation, we used the Dr. Seuss Camera- Who Me? app. It gave us crazy hair, hats, outfits, and accessories
All of our signs are now hanging up in our hallway. We think Dr. Seuss would have loved them as well as our big ideas :)
