Calling All Future Presidents!

As we continued to learn about President's Day in our classroom, friends were invited to imagine what it would be like if they were president as part of this week's homework.

We thought about which parts of the presidency would be really fun and which parts would be extra hard. We had some excellent ideas for how we could make the country better, and many of us agreed it would be pretty cool to call The White House home!

We also read lots of books about the presidents and those who wished to become one. Our favorite was Duck for President by Doreen Cronin. It was also a great book to go with our unit on persuasive writing!

We had lots of fun learning about what it takes to be president as well as learning a bit about past and present presidents of the U.S. Here's to wishing all of our future leaders a happy and relaxing vacation :) See you in March!
