Indoor Recess Fun

Because it is winter, many of our recess options have changed. While we still venture outside when the weather is warm enough, we may not always be able to do a lot of the same things we did in the fall depending on the conditions outside. On Wednesday, Mrs. Snow and Mrs. Dukeman helped us make a list of things we like to do during indoor and outdoor recess, and we discussed having a back-up plan if our original plan does not work out. We will continue to add to our lists as we discover new activities and games to play!

It has been an incredibly chilly week, with temperatures dipping well below zero. Thursday was the coldest day in the last four years!! Needless to say, we spent a lot of time indoors, but we certainly made the most of it! Some of us played board games while others worked on accessorizing our many giraffes. A few of us got very creative with the unifix cubes and base-ten blocks and created an amazing soccer stadium!!

U.S.A vs. Germany

It was a little sad to take our soccer stadium down, but luckily we got plenty of pictures!
